Stacklet Launches Out of Stealth With a $4m Seed Investment

Sid Trivedi -- partner at Foundation Capital -- invests in Stacklet without ever meeting us.

“Their [Stacklet co-founders Travis Stanfield and Kapil Thangavelu] passion for the opportunity at hand, experience of the market dynamics, and vision,” is what Trivedi tells TechCrunch made him decide to invest in Stacklet.

The trust is well placed. Emerging from Capital One’s migration to the cloud in 2013, Cloud Custodian is the open-source cloud governance project spearheaded by Thangavelu. Cloud Custodian now has nearly 300 active contributors and is entrusted with the cloud security of several enterprises.

Once co-workers at Capital One, Thangavelu and Stanfield are now embarking on a new adventure with Stacklet. Stacklet is an intelligent layer of administration on top of Cloud Custodian endeavoring to empower engineers with features such as cloud security policies right out of the box.

We here at Stacklet are so excited to build some neat tools for you!
